Arcadius, 383-408. Heavy Miliarense (Silver, 25 mm, 5.28 g, 12 h), Constantinopolis, 388-392. D N ARCADI-VS P F AVG Rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Arcadius to right. Rev. GLORIA ROMANORVM / CON Arcadius, nimbate and in military attire, standing front, head to left, holding spear in his right hand and resting his left on shield set on ground . Gnecchi -. RIC -. RSC -. Apparently unpublished. Struck from somewhat worn dies and with light scratches and traces of a removed mount at 11 o'clock on the obverse and 1 o'clock on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.

While unrecorded for Arcadius, parallel issues are known for Valentinian II (RIC 84), Theodosius I (Obolos 14 (2019), 593) and Honorius (RSC 18).
